As a result of the energy crisis affecting many countries, especially those in Europe, new ideas for the future are emerging...
A company is proposing a bakery made from containers that bakes 3,000 loaves of bread per day, self-sufficient and powered by 100% renewable energy. The structure is constructed with solar panels on the top of the container.
The construction of the prototype of the solar bakery, named SolarBakery, took almost a year of work, involving around 30 people and an investment of approximately 1 million euros.
One of the creators of SolarBakery mentioned that it can not only bake bread but also serves as a pastry shop, a pizzeria, a meeting place, and a gathering spot for people.
This solar bakery will soon be located not only in refugee camps worldwide but also in the global south, providing healthy staple foods to people.
